Social Butterfly

Logan is currently whining in his crib now because he's having a hard time winding down from his busy day. We went to Chicago for Ella's first birthday party and we had a really nice time. Logan was being quite the social butterfly despite getting off to a rough start. He went from a long nap on the car ride there to a houseful of strangers making a lot of noise. After being shy for 15 minutes and after crying a bit upon seeing all these new faces, Logan loosened up and began to enjoy himself. There were so many babies and toddlers there that he fit right in. Logan even got to play with the dog, Seamus. Anyway, he had a really nice time and we stayed up until 6:30, catching up with old friends. He again slept during the car ride, ended up at home and seemed a bit wired and cranky. A quick bath and bottle and he was off to bed...he seemed really out, but maybe his top teeth are bothering him still so that's why he's still awake. Although, he's quieted down as I've typed away so hopefully he's knocked out for the night. I'm tired too...gonna crawl up in bed with my Edward Abbey book, The Monkey Wrench Gang.
