Fresh Eyes

Logan and I went to Petco this morning to pick up some fish food for the goldfish in my backyard pond. It was an eye-opening experience for Logan. In fact, whenever we go shopping it seems Logan is awestruck. And when you stop and think about it stores really are interesting places. A myriad of colors, shapes, and lights assault our eyes, and we as adults have become desensitized to this baazar. Not so with a five month old. Logan was entranced by the tropical fish and birds. He smiled when looking at the turtles, and he was equally amused by the ferrets, although they were mostly sleeping. It made me want to buy all the animals and have a zoo in my home. Carly probably wouldn't be so keen on this idea though. Anyway, babies see the world with fresh eyes. Maybe we can learn something from them.
